This tea was created because one of my god-daughters mildly dislocated her hip, and strained some other things in the fall that caused it. It was a tea that I probably should have blended far sooner, given my own issues with random dislocations, but I’d not thought to until she was injured. We approached the blend with the intent of making her life a little easier as the injuries healed, as well as to speed the healing. Joyous Joints contains Willowbark for pain relief, Lobelia or Sage for muscle relaxation and muscle spasms, and Oatstraw and Lemon Balm for nutritive support and helping to make the injuries less stressful. Sage is also a remarkably good herb for assisting in recovery. It helps with vitality and general health, and even the name of the herb comes from the Latin “Salvia” – which means to be well. There are regulations against using Lobelia unsupervised in the UK and the EU. Due to these regulations, we created a second version of this tea. The standard version contains Lobelia, the EU/UK version contains Sage. Additionally, this tea should not be used if you are pregnant or nursing or unable to take aspirin. For the original version, Lobelia targets the same receptors in the brain that nicotine does, so if you are a smoker, either the tea or the cigarettes will be less effective. Now for the basics:
Organic Ingredients: Willowbark, Lobelia (or Sage), Oatstraw, Lemon Balm
Batch Weight: 1.4 ounces (approximately 35-40 cups of tea)
Options: Loose (Bag, Tin), Single Serving Sachets
**I am not a doctor. The FDA (and a myriad of other agencies) have not decided that any of this is fact. While we draw on science as well, for the most part, even when there is research indicating the efficacy of herbs, they have not been formalized as treatment metholodologies. Thus this information is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease from a medical standpoint.
