This tea was sparked by two things.
The first is that Mister Tea and I are geeks. With fandoms. The second is that we are both lovers of chocolate. As a general rule he likes his a bit sweeter than I, but we both agree that it is a lovely substance.
When we first started playing with cacao nibs, the ideas came with almost disturbing speed. There are so many things you can combine with chocolate!
Mister Tea came up with the idea (both taste and name) for ‘Browncoat’s Desperation‘ almost immediately, and it was followed swiftly by a tea for the Hero of Canton. (Not that we miss Firefly or anything.)
Hops seemed a given, and the chocolate combined with it in a lovely way. I added the marshmallow and ginger for melding the flavours together, and making it soothing, as well as relaxing. While this was blended as a for-taste tea, it would be good for finding relaxation and comfort when sick as well.

* We are not officially attached to or licensed by or otherwise involved with any of the official agencies of the fandoms we homage. If any of these agencies have an issue with our teas, please let us know, and we will work things out.
** I am not a doctor. The FDA (along with other governmental agencies) has not recognized any of this as fact. We do draw on science as well as tradition, but the path from research proving efficacy to formalized treatment is a long and complicated one. (Especially since plants can’t really be patented.)
