Our teas have this propensity for being a bit habit-forming. Most of the time I consider this to be a Very Good Thing.
However, it gets a bit more complicated when a favorite tea is full of caffeine and a friend who loves it dearly becomes pregnant.
‘Weasleys’ Winter Warm-Up‘ was the tea in question, and I decided I wanted to create an herbal tea that would come close to the taste of it, while avoiding the caffeine.
Thankfully we’d already done some work using barleys and hawthorn berries as the foundational base for teas, so we were able to create ‘Molly’s Morning Magic’ with relative ease.
In addition to having a wonderful taste (gingerbread), the barley lends some lovely nutrients, whether you are pregnant or not.
This tea also taught us that we can create versions of our teas that are decaf, using our experience with tasty things that are not tea.
Now for the basics:
Organic Ingredients: Hawthorn Berries, Ginger Root, Briess Caramel Malt, Oatstraw, Fair Trade Vanilla Powder
