Molly’s Morning Magic (Organic Vanilla Ginger Barley Tea)

This entry is part 1 of 1 in the series Potterverse Beverages

Our teas have this propensity for being a bit habit-forming.  Most of the time I consider this to be a Very Good Thing.

However, it gets a bit more complicated when a favorite tea is full of caffeine and a friend who loves it dearly becomes pregnant.

Weasleys’ Winter Warm-Up‘ was the tea in question, and I decided I wanted to create an herbal tea that would come close to the taste of it, while avoiding the caffeine.

Thankfully we’d already done some work using barleys and hawthorn berries as the foundational base for teas, so we were able to create ‘Molly’s Morning Magic’ with relative ease.

In addition to having a wonderful taste (gingerbread), the barley lends some lovely nutrients, whether you are pregnant or not.

This tea also taught us that we can create versions of our teas that are decaf, using our experience with tasty things that are not tea.

  1. I’m on here to copy the URL for my friend Frances – I told her about your teas, and she sounded very interested. But I’m surprised to see that the links to your Etsy site and your catalog are not live – shouldn’t they be? Frances is totally confused by Web things – she’s not a computer type, and in fact is one of those people whose computers find new and creative ways to fail, so I’m afraid she wouldn’t realize that if clicking on it doesn’t work, she could copy and paste it. I’ll send her all three URLs, so it won’t be a problem in her case, but there have to be other people out there with the same problem!

    • Working out the issues, there. Creating a new links section for our shop stuff, and I will be moving that up to more prominence.
