Sometimes when we are asked to create a custom tea, there’s an odd first step that has to be taken. Especially when we are asked to recreate a favourite tea that has been discontinued.
As a general rule, we are rather staggered by the sheer number of ingredients some of the major tea companies will use. I will grant that they have more leeway to throw EVERYTHING into a tea, due to using oils rather than whole ingredients, but it still often seems completely excessive.
One of the places where we do pay complete attention, however, is when several different types of tea are used in a blend. This is always the foundation of a tea, and to have any chance at doing the job right, we have to start there.
‘Triforce Tea’ is the product of one of these first steps. As with our ‘Baker Street Blend,’ when we tried the blend of teas, we rather liked it, and decided to keep it.
To my great embarrassment, I have not actually played a single Zelda game. However, I have known many people who have, and the things the people you love enjoy seep into your reality and consciousness. I do want to remedy this, though as we do not currently have the right platform, it will likely take some time.
So, with warm thoughts for the people who have inserted Zelda-bits into my head, I present ‘Triforce Tea,’ a blend that surprised me, and that reminded me that I need to do more work with teas that are not the standard blacks.
