Mister Tea and I have an ideas file that is disturbingly long. Recently, we actually split it out into multiple files, to sort of… organize by idea type.
Some of the time we come up with a name that we think would be spiffy, sometimes it is a flavour concept, sometimes it is both.
‘Splinter’s Brew’ was a name that came up almost immediately after we started making tasty teas. Unfortunately, we knew that we wanted Kukicha in this tea. Splinter – twig tea – it just made a certain amount of punny sense.
It took years before we found an organic kukicha. When we finally did, I was deleriously happy. Kukicha was actually the first green tea that I developed a liking for, so it meant that one of my favorites was back on the shelves.
Additionally, it meant that we could finally create the long-awaited ‘Splinter’s Brew.’
