Fever-B-Gone was created for one of those basic needs. Fevers happen, and depending on the day and the reason, need to be brought down.
Unfortunately, I hadn’t thought to make a febrifuge until I was actually in the throes of a fever. I’d realized I was getting a little loopy and had a touch of the swimming vision that a fever can give you. In my haze I decided I should make a fever tea for myself. I searched through my memory and my herb stock, and put together a test batch, immediately testing it on myself.
The tea worked, and once I had my faculties back, I double-checked my work to make sure I had remembered everything correctly and safe while feverish. Everything checked out, and we decided to keep the tea blend.
The Willowbark and Elderflower are for fever reduction, and the Peppermint to ease some of the other symptoms that often coincide with a fever.
Now for the basics:
Organic Ingredients: Willowbark, Elderflower, Peppermint
Batch Size: 1.4 ounces (approximately 30-35 cups of tea)
Options: Loose (Sample, Bag, Tin), Teabags (Single, Sample, Bag)
This tea should not be used if you are unable to take aspirin, are suffering from liver disease, or are taking prescription blood-thinners.
** I am not a doctor. The FDA (along with other governmental agencies) has not recognized any of this as fact. We do draw on science as well as tradition, but the path from research proving efficacy to formalized treatment is a long and complicated one. (Especially since plants can’t really be patented.) None of the information contained in these pages is intended to diagnose, treat, or cure disease from a medical standpoint.
