Every once in a while when I order supply stock, I allow myself to choose a couple of new things to test and experiment with. Sometimes this is types of tea I haven’t tasted, sometimes it is a fruit I am curious about, other times an herb I have researched recently that seems interesting.
Genmaicha Green tea was one of these choices. I was slightly skeptical about rice in tea, though given some of our medicinal ingredients, I really shouldn’t have been. The first test cup a pleasant surprise, and I liked it, but I immediately started thinking about adding the spices that would make it taste a bit like a green tea rice pudding.
I checked with Mister Tea to make sure this seemed like a good idea rather than a mad idea, and then settled to blending.
After a bit of experimentation and testing, ‘Believe Impossible Things’ was created.
(The nod to Lewis Carroll was quite intentional.)
It combines the tastes of green tea with spices that turn it into a connection to some very good memories.
Now for the basics.
