The true inspiration for the tea was worry about a friend who was having issues with getting enough nutrients. There were a wide array of factors complicating the process of eating, and I wanted to make something that might help.
The herbs chosen for this tea were selected to arrange for a wide array of essential nutritional elements, as well as for taste. ‘Ent Draught’ will also help to soothe the stomach and nerves, and is an over-time tonic for most of the systems in your body.
When we were discussing what to name the tea, I kept thinking about Merry and Pippin and the growth that occurred after their time with the ents. The formidable Tea Naming Group concurred on the ‘Lord of the Rings’ connection, and while we discussed Lembas, decision fell in favor of the Ents.
