There’s not much to tell with this tea.
We were setting about figuring out dinner, basic evening things, and I developed a sudden craving for a relatively simple and straightforward tea.
In fact, it was such a normal idea I couldn’t believe we didn’t already have it.
Since we didn’t, I rigged a single test cup, as there wasn’t the time to fiddle around with a larger quantity.
Upon finishing the cup, I was saddened that I hadn’t made a larger test batch.
Once the whirlwind that was the Potterverse tea project was done, I blended a proper test batch for the tea. And it was good. And I was happy.
Beyond the fact that it is a good solid hot tea, I imagine this tea making a suitable iced accompaniment to barbecues and other summer gatherings. (It is also good iced. We tested it.)
The name came out of brainstorming conversations on Twitter, combined with Joplin’s ‘Summertime’ getting stuck in my head every time I considered a name for the tea.
