365 Inks – Jinhao 1.5 stub – Diamine’s Alpine

Posted on December 27, 2024 by DesertSage — Leave a reply

A page in a rhodia top spiral bound dotgrid notebook. Written on the top left is Pen: Pen: Jinhao ((Wood), 1.5 stub), Ink: Diamine Alpine. Beneath those designations, there is a squiggly scribbled out line of what used to be cursive script, one can still make out some of the letter shapes. Written beaneath the mistake is “Oops. Messy cursive. Retry Later.” To the right of all the writing is a feathered sketch of a tree. A line is drawn underneath the writing and doodle, beneath the line are smear tests and drip tests for the ink.

Posted on October 6, 2023 by DesertSage — Leave a reply
A page in a rhodia top spiral bound dotgrid notebook. Written on the top left is Pen: Jinhao Shark EF, Ink: Diamine Festive Joy. In between the word Pen and the listed pen is a tiny bug-centaur doodle. To the right there is a doodle of plants growing up out of the ground, various shapes and leaf lengths. Underneath is a grumpy looking dog-snail with a tiered tail, an hour pointing at it with the word “no quote. Just mistake scribble.” A line is drawn underneath the writing and doodle, beneath the line are smear tests and drip tests for the ink.

From the Library

  • Some of my professional colleagues think I’m weird, but as a scientist I can’t help but record some of my observations. One of the aspects of cats that I find the most fascinating is their apparent ability to take on the family role of the “healer cat.” The healer cat is the family feline that is always hanging around whenever anyone is sick, always there to rub up against, purr for, and lie with the sick individual – whether it is a two-legged or four-legged patient. Healer cats have the uncanny ability to know who is sick and where the sickness is in the individual’s body. The cats typically lie on or near that spot, as if to absorb any negative energy. Clients tell me that their healer cats know when they have a stomachache, and the cat will sit on their belly while they are lying on the couch trying to recover. Other says that if they have a headache, the healer cat will lie next to their head until the ache goes away. I’ve had too many clients tell me these stories to allow me to ignore them. I’ve also noticed that it is not always one cat in the family that is a healer cat. And, interestingly, when a healer cat passes on, another family cat typically assumes the role.
