A page in a rhodia top spiral bound dotgrid notebook. Written on the top left is Pen: Lamy Al-Star -EF Nib, Ink: Jacques Herbin 1798 Kyanite du Nepal. On the right is written “For all the sad words of tongue or pen, the saddest of all – it might have been. -John Greenleaf Whittier” Wrapped around the script designating the pen is a series of doodles of segmented critters with beaks. A line is drawn underneath the writing and doodle, beneath the line are smear tests and drip tests for the ink.
